Program Overview

The ÁùºÏ±¦¿â Artificial Intelligence (AI) major is an interdisciplinary program in the College of Arts and Sciences that comprises courses from Computer Science & Math, Arts & Humanities, and Business & Law. Given both the business demand for the advancement of automation and artificial intelligence in a number of industries and ÁùºÏ±¦¿â’s record of success in combining liberal arts education with professional preparation, we are well positioned to develop and sustain a program in AI. 


Curriculum Requirements

The proposed AI degree consists of 17 core courses from across the university. All courses will be offered in accordance with ÁùºÏ±¦¿â guidelines and policies.

Optional Concentrations

The program outlined above would graduate a student from the College of Arts and Sciences with a degree in Artificial Intelligence. If a student is interested, they would have the option to add on an additional Artificial Intelligence concentration in a few select areas. These concentrations are only available to AI majors and would show up on the student transcripts as a clear area of study. A concentration would require 12 additional credit hours of study.
